The questions people ask us most. If yours is not here, just ask.
Is this a scam?
No. We know a postcard from a stranger can look like one, so here is how to check us. Up the Road Web is run by Tyler Jackson, who lives in Union County, SC.
Looking at your preview costs nothing. We never ask for a payment to see it, and we never ask for your passwords. There is no deadline and nothing happens if you ignore it.
You can call 864-589-6300 and talk to Tyler. You can also see a real site we built on our showcase page.
How did you find my business?
From public business listings. We use open map data from Overture Maps Foundation, which gathers business listings from places like business Facebook pages. Our data credits page says where it comes from.
We only mail a postcard to an address your business itself published: on your business Facebook page, on your own website, or on another page your business runs. We never use Google Maps listings to build our mailing list, and we never buy lists of people or use government license lists.
Do I have to pay to look?
No. Looking at your preview is free, and it does not sign you up for anything. It goes away on its own after a few weeks if you do nothing.
Who owns my domain?
You do. You are listed as the owner of your domain from day one. Domain renewal is about $11 a year. It is included in your monthly price. If you ever leave, that is the only cost you take over. Some domain companies charge a little more. Moving it somewhere else is free, any time you ask, for any reason.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. None. Month to month. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee. When you leave, you keep your domain name and get your website as files that work anywhere, with no exit fee. Our cancellation policy has the details.
Will you ask for my passwords?
Never. Not for Google, Facebook, your email, or your bank. When a feature needs access to something, like your Google business listing, you add us from your own account and you can remove us any time.
If anyone says they are from Up the Road Web and asks for a password, it is not us. Please tell us.
How do I stop the postcards?
Call or email us and say "remove me." One message does it. We delete your preview and never mail you again.
When can I sign up?
Plans open soon. We will not sell a plan until every part of it is built and tested. Until then, a preview is just a preview.
